Cayden Nicholas Compton

Our sweet little bundle of joy has arrived! Cayden Nicholas Compton was born Monday September 24, 2012 at 12:26 p.m. 6lbs 9ozs 18 inches long! Of course he decides to come at the worst possible time but now I have decided it was a blessing in disguise! Sunday I had been having contractions on and off all day nothing consistent! We had been getting all the last minute packing and stuff done for our move on tuesday! Later that night they started to be very consistent but I didn't want to time them because I wanted to work my shifts the rest of the week and get all moved in to our house! I told my mom and she made me start timing them! For an hour I had them every 4 to 5 minutes, she told me ha "your in labor, go to the hospital" and I said "no way, he can't come yet"! I decided to call the Dr and ask her opinion and she said if they get stronger go! I had Kyle and Trent give me a blessing and by this time it was almost midnight and I had the contractions every 4 to 5 minutes still! I decided to get ready just in case we decided to go to the hospital! I was in serious denial that this sweet boy was making his arrival soon! Mind you I was also only 36 weeks and 2 days, finally after I got all ready we decided to go! I was in denial for 3 hours at home and when we got to the hospital I knew I was going to be admitted but still thought no they will just send us home! She checked and I was 70% thinned out and a 4! The nurse called the Dr and I was admitted, I cried cause I was in shock, and so happy he would be in my arms soon I was also sad that it came so quick and that Brysen would wake up the next morning to his whole world changed with a new brother! I went from a 4 to a 5 in less then an hour and thought wow he is going to come quick but I was wrong! Contractions got strong but not bad at all, I got my epidural thinking it would help and guess again I was wrong it slowed me way down! I should have remembered the same thing happened with Brysen! I stayed a 5 for HOURS, after that I finally started progressing again! They wanted to break my water but they couldn't, Cayden was still up to high for them to do it! My Dr came to check on me and she decided to break it! They wanted her to do it because with him not fully dropped his cord could come first and I would have to have an emergency C-section! After she broke it, it was less then an hour later that our sweet boy arrived! The reason he wasn't dropping all the way down was cause my cord was only 12 inches long! The Dr and nurse thought it was wrapped around his neck or leg or something and thats why he wasn't coming down but that was not the case! So crazy to me how they can't see that in an ultrasound how short my cord was! I pushed for 10-12 minutes and out Cayden came into the world! Monday while I was in labor we got a call from our Landlord telling us we could get the keys a day early! Go figure, my sweet, amazing husband moved us into our house for a few hours each day or when he could escape the hospital! I got to come home to a new house that was a complete mess! Here is the part where this all is a blessing in disguise, if Cayden wouldn't have decided to come early Kyle would not have had the whole week off to get us completely unpacked and make our house into a home! I would have had to do most of it while he worked so it to me was a blessing in disguise for this little peanut  to come early! We are adjusting great, we love our new house and especially our new little son! He is such a great baby and a great nurser which makes life so much easier! Brysen LOVES his new baby brother and loves to kiss him and hold him! When he crys he always tells him "its okay baby brother"! Such a sweet big brother, lets hope it stays that way! Thank you to everyone who came and visited and helped us move, brought us dinner, and just helped us out with whatever we needed this crazy hectic week, we have the best family and friends :) The biggest thanks to my amazing mother who has helped more then anything and done so much for us and keeps doing so much for us! We sure love you all ♥

4D Ultrasound

Today we went to Miracle in Progress to have a 4D Ultrasound of Mr. Cayden, he is so stinking cute I can't hardly stand it! The Tech said that he has LOTS of hair, chubby chubby cheeks, a cute button nose and I think he looks SO much like Brysen! Sorry babe my genes just kick yours away :) In the pictures of him, his face is right next to my placenta and he is already head down, the tech said he likes to use my placenta as a pillow for his little face, so it was hard to get great pictures but I think they are pretty good even with my placenta being right in his face! You can still see how dang cute he is! Having this ultrasound makes us more and more excited for his arrival which will probably be in about 6 weeks :) These pictures are of Cayden at 31 weeks!

Excited

Today I had a doctor appointment, and I am so excited it was pretty much all GOOD news! I am 30 weeks and baby and I are doing great! This sweet little boy seems to be more calm in my belly then his brother, he is still very active, it is funny cause he likes to hangout in all the same spots in my belly he is always behind my right rib ( and if your wondering so far it doesn't hurt that he hangs out in my rib) and down on my left side more towards my hip! I remember Brysen always being all over the place! I have been having to go to the Dr. more then normal, at 20 weeks my amniotic fluid was at a high normal and I was having a LOT of braxton hicks, I had tons with Brysen so to me it was normal! They had me going for more ultrasounds and they had me doing fetal fiber necatins, no idea if that's how you spell it, cause they were worried about pre term labor! Today they checked and it is down and more normal and my belly is measuring perfect so they are NOT making me do any of that stuff anymore! I am so glad, I was getting so sick of it and I was not even that worried about it! We also found out today that this sweet little boy will be here end of next month or very beginning of October! My due date is actually October 19 but with my placenta issues he has to come early! I can't even wait or believe that he will be here so soon! We have a ultrasound in 3 weeks to check out the babies growth, if it is doing what it did with Brysen I will be put on bed rest so I am hoping that doesn't happen, at 36 weeks I will have another ultrasound to check his growth again and then a week or 2 after that the dr said we will be delivering baby Cayden! Hopefully everything goes smoothly and that he does not have to come any earlier then we have planned! This pregnancy has been a little more stressful for me and I am ready for it to be over and have a healthy sweet little boy in my arms! I am so thankful that Cayden and  I have been watched over by Heavenly Father! After today I know everything will work out perfect! Next week we are getting a 4d ultrasound to see what the little man looks like! Can't wait :)

Brysen-ism's

I can't even begin to tell you how much we love this little guy, he brightens are day everyday! I had to write this post more so for us to remember how funny and cute he is right now! This little boy says the funniest things that crack me up all the time! I am sure I will have to come back and add more because he says different things all the time and I am sure I have forgotten some too!
-One morning I asked what he wanted for breakfast and he told me "Fries and Coke"
-He started calling me mamacita, so now he adds that to everyone's name, daddycita, grammycita, lukeycita, woodycita! Kyle hates it that he calls him that but I happen to think it is hilarious
-He calls popsicles, popsuckers haha
-When he jumps in the pool he will clap and say "brysen, brysen, brysen" a million times before he jumps
-When he sings itsy bitsy spider he sings it "itsy bitsy spiderman"
-He loves fireworks so at night in his prayers a few times he would thank heavenly father for fireworks
-Love is Lobe, and he tells Kyle and I all the time that he Lobes us, and woody and a lot of his toys!
-He asked me to see his brother, and told me he wants to kiss him and hug him
-He will randomly bust out and say "SHAKE YO BOOOOOTAYY"
-He always talks about himself in 3rd person, He always says "what's Brysen doing", or "Brysen silly"  "thank you Brysen, your welcome Brysen" and lots more!
-He loves Little Rascals, so he is always saying "otay" instead of okay
-He is talking in sentences now which I think is the cutest thing ever
-His way of counting is 1,2,4,5,6,7,8
-He loves to sing I am a Child Of God ( we sing it every night before bed)
-His most favorite thing right now is garbage trucks
-He LOVES milk and drinks so much of it
-Kyle taught him to give the look which is in one of the pics below in his batman shirt
-He loves big trucks
For now I can't think of all the other funny things so I will be coming back and editing

Yellowstone Family Reunion

Back in June we headed to Island Park, and Yellowstone for over a week, it was a family reunion that my grandma wanted to do this year for her 80th birthday! My dad and Aunts told her they would take her anywhere in the world for her birthday out of the country, anywhere she wanted and she told them she wanted to have the whole family in Yellowstone with her kids, grand kids, and great grand kids! We used to go every year when I was younger so it was great to be able to go again!


-Saturday, we got to Island Park and just hung out and visited with family we had not seen in FOREVER! The cabins we stayed in were so beautiful and so nice, they were huge and even had a spa in the front! Saturday night we had dinner and a special tribute to my amazing Grandma Colleen for her 80th birthday! What an amazing grandma me and my family are blessed with, she is one of a kind and we sure love her to death!

-Sunday, We headed into Yellowstone for the day with the whole family, we looked for animals and had lunch while waiting for Old Faithful to go off! It goes off every 90 mins, it is really cool but I remember it being way more awesome as a kid haha so hopefully B thought it was really cool! After Old Faithful we hiked to Fairy Falls (5.3 miles I think it was) me the pregnant woman I was 23 weeks did the whole thing and so did my awesome 80 year old Grandma! It was so beautiful! Brysen held his first fish that my cousin Steve caught and from that point in the trip was OBSESSED with fishys, as B would say! Brysen also peed on Kyle haha, so they both smelled like pee the whole hike!After the hike grandma bought everyone ice cream for being such troopers on the hike! It was such a fun day! Later that night we all got in the spa at the cabins!

-Monday, was just a relaxed do what ever you want day, we headed into West Yellowstone and watched one of the IMAX movies, and went to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery! They had the baby grizzlies out that didn't look to little till we went back again on tuesday and saw the big grizzlies! They were so funny to watch and have quite the personalities! We got some yummy huckleberry ice cream, which is a must!  Later we had family pictures with EVERYONE in the family, I don't think we have all ever been in one place at one time before so it was pretty amazing! After that we went to a dinner and show at Macks Inn! Kyle got up early and went out fishing on Henry's Lake! Kyle fished EVERYDAY that we were on vacation, needless to say he is so so obsessed with it and so is my brother James and Bro in Law Stewart!

-Tuesday, we went back into West Yellowstone and went back to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery, we also did some shopping and just hung out in town, it was so fun I have always really enjoyed hanging out in West Yellowstone all the shops are so cool! We also road my Aunt and Uncles 4 wheeler, Kyle did some more fishing of course! We had dinner almost every night at my Aunt and Uncles cabin and our cabins were all also stocked with TONS and TONS of food! Brysen would ask about every 2 mins to ride the 4 wheeler! I wish you could hear how he says it too cause it is so dang cute :)

-Wednesday, everyone but Us and the Christensen's headed into the park to Lamar Valley where they have tons of wolves and bears just out in the Yellowstone park to see! We didn't go cause it is a long drive and didn't want to have the kids in the car all day! So we just went into the park, Stew and James fished and we saw some wildlife and saw a waterfall! Later we went back into West Yellowstone for more ice cream and meet everyone at Gusher pizza which has to be the only good food place!

-Thursday, we went out on my Uncle Dales boat on Henry's Lake with James and the Christensen's! All of us caught fish except Stew haha he was kind of having bad luck! Shana caught like 3 or more she was showing everyone up! Later after fishing we went and floated down the river, I don't think I would ever do it again haha it was so so fun but it took like over 3 hours, we had lots of entertainment my little brother fell out into the river and ella freaked out when she caught a fish and Kyle freaked out when a bee came around, needless to say there was lots of laughing involved in this nice long float down the river! We got stuck about a million times cause the river was not very deep in tons of places haha so Stew and Kyle would get out and have to push us! So fun!

-Friday was the time to head back to Utah, We stopped at Bear World, which I have to say is very awesome, I loved it! You drive threw different sections and they have an albino elk and buffalo and lots of other wildlife that will walk right up to your car and is just all around you, they have TONS of bears and you have to keep driving or the bears will try to get your cars haha, one of my cousins got his license plate frame thing eaten off by a bear haha! You can drive threw as many times as you want and it is seriously so cool! They have rides for little kids and a petting zoo and all the cute little tiny baby bears! The cubs are so cute to watch and play! You can also feed the bears and baby bears but it is a little expensive! This was prolly one of my favorite places that we went on vacation , it was so so cool!

I am sure I am missing other stuff we did but my pregnant brain can't remember everything! This was such an amazing trip and I am so thankful for the memories that will last a lifetime! I am so thankful to have such an amazing family who made this trip so much fun and so glad we got to spend time with everyone on my dad's side of the family, We are so blessed to call them all family and they are all such amazing people! We love all of you and are so grateful for each and everyone of you :) A HUGE thanks to everyone who made this trip happen Kathleen for all your hard work and to my Dad and Grandma :) We sure love all of our family
